About Dr. Mohan Chandavarkar

He is renowned Obstetrician and Gynaecologist practicing more than 30 years. He has completed his basic Gynaecological training from GSMC/KEMH. He is a Honorable Associate Associate Professor at Rajiv Gandhi Medical college in Thane, teaching Obs/Gynae to UG/PG since 1994. He is a teacher and guide for DGO, DNB, FCPS. He was an examiner for MBBS and DGO exams. Written a textbook (distribution at AICOG Patna 2014). He has been involved in many OBS/GYNE Seminars, CME's Symposia & Conferences as organisers, Delegates, Chairperson or Speaker. He is the founding Chief Editor of Asthagyaan-Journal of the association of Thane Gynaecologist. Writes a humor column " chakra-view" in newspaper Thane vaibhav's weekly english tabloid "know your town". Used to draw a monthly cartoon called "Nitrous Oxide in Mercury" in Rotary club thane North Bulletin - North Star.

Dux medal for the best student in 1972 Bombay Scottish. Dr N A Purandare scholarship. Dr Herculano Desa prize for MOGS Best thesis.
Best paper presented at AICOG 1981. Best paper presented at Annual MOGS Conf 1981. Govt. of Maharashtra family planning award in 1981 for doing 3500 Laproscopic surgeries.
