Dr. Archana Kavalakkat is a pediatrician with nearly 25 years of experience. Her special interest is critical care. She has worked in and headed NICU and PICU units in renowned hospitals in Mumbai and Kochi.

Area of Interest:

Dr. Archana is well versed with ventilatory techniques in pediatrics and all intensive care procedures. She has extensive experience in managing very sick children including those with septic shock with multi organ failure, and, burns. She has also managed numerous sick infants in the NICU with complex problems and also those with extreme prematurity with excellent results.

Membership & Publication:

She is an active member of the Thane Academy of Pediatrics and is currently a member of the scientific committee of the TAP council. She has been part of the organizing committee of several conferences hosted by the academy. She is very academically inclined and has published her articles in pediatric journals. She is also a DNB guide. She is an active blogger and her blogs for parents are very informative and interesting. She has also written articles on parenting and healthcare in leading newspapers and magazines. She has delivered several public awareness talks on varied topics ranging from 'Newborn Care' to 'Health issues in Adolescents'.
